I learnt something new in school today.

I am amazed with my own reaction. Seriously.

Today in school, I learnt something new. I learnt that even if you are one year older, it does not prove that you think clearer. For example today.

My whole class almost got a detention from the dm because Darren walked out of the class in between lessons and got caught by the dm. One of my classmate who was one year older kept saying 'It's all Darren's fault. Who asked him to leave the class.' She kept going on and on blaming Darren for our detention. She got angry for nothing. She told me that last year during DnT class, when the teacher scolded him, he punched the cupboard. She said that he was crazy. The thing is that I know that's the way he can control his anger. At the very least, he didn't harm or hurt anyone. I looked at Darren and pitied him. Many people were blaming him and he was actually able to control his anger and not say a word. If I were in his shoes, I would've been shouting at the 'blamers' by now. His face was all red and his fist was clenched. I didn't blame him at all for our detention. I mean, I myself did go out of class between lessons too. Who haven't? I just happened to stay in class at that time. 3/4 of those who blamed him went out of class before. I know because I saw. They were just lucky that the dm wasn't making his rounds at that time. I know that Darren was just unlucky to be out when the dm was there. Another example is when ANOTHER older girl scolded Darren. Obviously he'll be angry after he got scolded, right? So after he helped the teacher on the visualizer on the (-_-) ceiling , he pushed the chair he was standing on like twice and it made a lot of noise. The older girl was like (translated) 'You are already in the wrong so you'd better stop showing your attitude.' Well, what do you know.

So that's quite an example. In the end only Darren had detention. I seriously think that he isn't that bad. In fact he's quite a helpful guy, although his 'jokes' are irritating most of the time. But he is helpful. Even after many people blamed him, he controlled his anger and helped the teacher set up the visualizer. Actually two morals are learnt. One - Older people are unnecessarily smarter. Two - Not all irritating people are bad people.
