Small things that can change your day.

Few mornings back I woke up groggily and prepared for school. Pressed the button for the lift and it took some time for it to come down to my floor from the previous floor. Then I saw what caused it - someone had his bike up and he was in there with big specs. So I went in feeling tired and suddenly he says "Good morning!" so cheerfully. Being the 'I-dislike-talking-in-lifts-coz-it's-gonna-be-awkward-and-I-know-it' kind of person, I was a lil' surprised and said 'oh, good morning.' then awkward silence as the lift descends to level 1. However, that somehow brightened my day.
Then today when I was approaching the lift, I saw someone else walking towards the lift too. I reached first and waited for her. She was all like 'ugh forget it' and walked slowly towards the lift but when she saw me waiting for her she was like 'oh, thank u! :D' and I was like 'ure welcome!'

Moral, don't be a douche and hold the lift for others. And be nice to others and don't chase them out of anywhere when not necessary.
